A good friend of mine, Leonard from Castleknock Tree Care, salvaged this gorgeous piece of Elm from the Strawberry Beds along the banks of the River Liffey in Dublin. Beautiful timber to work with, and I was more than pleased to see what the grain looked like once the Danish oil finish was applied to the burr elm salad bowl.
